A bitter and flavor component of beer. It also acts as a preservative. It comes in three forms leaf, whole or pellet. Most home brewer's use pellet.

- After finding how hard is was in my state to get the micro brews I wanted I started to home brew. I made 14 batches in 2009 and was yearning for even more.
